What is BICC?
BICC stands for Britain International Creative Competition. This event aims to encourage and support the intellectual development of art students, artists, and designers from both China and the UK. It provides a platform for artists and designers from both countries to exchange ideas and develop their creative works.
Judging Criteria
The competition jury consists of 37 artists, designers, university lecturers, and postgraduate students from both China and the UK. All works undergo a two-round voting process.
First-round judging: Three judges score each work, and the average score determines the shortlisted works.
Second-round judging: Five expert judges score the shortlisted works to determine the final awards.
Competition Theme
Theme Direction: Weaving Dreams
Dreams are the foundation of creation and innovation. This theme invites participants to explore how dreams can be woven into reality through artistic expression. Consider how dreams inspire, guide, and transform our understanding of the world. How can we capture the essence of dreams in our designs? How do dreams connect with our cultural heritage and future aspirations? Participants are encouraged to create works that not only visualize dreams but also reflect on the process of dream-weaving as a metaphor for creative development and cultural integration.
Note: This theme is only applicable to visual design submissions.
